DevOps Engineer

Overview

We are seeking an experienced Interim DevOps Engineer for an initial 3-month contract in a hybrid role. The successful candidate will play a crucial role in managing and enhancing cloud infrastructure, CI/CD pipelines, and Kubernetes platforms while collaborating closely with a dynamic engineering team. This position primarily supports remote work with occasional travel to the Newcastle HQ as required.

Responsibilities

• Manage and improve AWS cloud infrastructure.
• Support and optimize Kubernetes workloads and container platforms.
• Develop and maintain Infrastructure as Code and automation practices.
• Enhance CI/CD pipelines and deployment processes.
• Monitor platform health, performance, and security.
• Collaborate with engineering teams to deliver resilient, scalable solutions.
• Support cloud infrastructure and broader IT environments where necessary.

Requirements

• Proven experience in a DevOps or Platform Engineering role.
• Strong AWS infrastructure expertise.
• Commercial Kubernetes experience.
• Experience building and maintaining CI/CD pipelines.
• Infrastructure as Code experience (Terraform or OpenTofu preferred).
• Docker and containerization expertise.
• Solid Linux administration skills.
• Excellent troubleshooting abilities and strong communication skills.
